DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT | HEAD OFFICE

FABLE Hospitality is the head office and service company behind 10 of Adelaide’s leading hospitality venues, including Fugazzi, OMADA, ShoSho, Shōbōsho, NIDO Bar|Pasta|Grill, Latteria, Osteria Oggi, Henley House, Maybe Mae and Bread & Bone.

We are seeking an Experienced Bookkeeper to join our Finance Team in our Adelaide CBD head office. This is a great opportunity for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident working across payroll, accounts payable and finance administration, while being part of one of South Australia’s most dynamic and fast-growing hospitality groups.

This is not a typical corporate finance role. You’ll be working in a friendly, fast-moving and supportive office environment, helping keep the back end of some of Adelaide’s most exciting venues running smoothly.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing end-to-end weekly payroll for approximately 400 employees across 10 venues using Deputy and Xero.

  • End-to-end accounts payable processing using Xero and DEXT.

  • Performing supplier statement reconciliations and scheduling payments.

  • Responding to vendor enquiries and resolving payment-related issues.

  • Assisting with month-end reconciliations in preparation for BAS lodgement.

  • Debtor invoicing and reconciliation of relevant accounts.

  • Petty cash and weekly banking.

  • Assisting the General Manager with ad hoc duties as required.

About you

  • To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping, payroll or finance administration role

  • Previous experience in administration, bookkeeping and payroll

  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office

  • Knowledge of Fair Work legislation, National Employment Standards and Award interpretation

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

  • Strong organisational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to work autonomously and take initiative

  • High level of reliability and accountability

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality

  • Strong systems and computer literacy, with a proactive approach to technology

We are seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant to aid our Marketing Manager in our Adelaide CBD head office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is well versed in the social media landscape, is skilled in graphic design, has a passion for hospitality and is experienced in generalist marketing ad hoc responsibilities. Our ideal candidate is highly organised, detail-oriented and is capable of working across a variety of short and long term campaigns while being part of one of South Australia’s most dynamic and fast-growing hospitality groups.

This is not a typical marketing role. You’ll be working in a fast-moving and supportive office environment, helping maintain the digital presence some of Adelaide’s most exciting venues running smoothly.

About the role

 Working closely with the Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will cover up to 5 key areas:

SOCIAL MEDIA

• Posting/scheduling carousels and reels to 10 social media accounts across IG/FB/TT

• Community engagement across 10 accounts – replying to comments, answering DMs, checking tagged posts, resharing stories, sharing posts to stories, and forwarding business related enquiries to the Marketing Manager

 EMAIL MARKETING & WEB MANAGEMENT

• Creating GIFS and selecting imagery for our email marketing campaigns

• Updating copy & imagery on our websites within Squarespace

DROPBOX FILE MANAGEMENT

• Organise a constantly growing library of imagery and design files within Dropbox

• Compile image kits for media requests

 

CONTENT CREATION

• Act as lighting assistant / hand talent during photoshoots

• Occasional event day coverage on Instagram stories (some evening and weekend events; approx. once every 3-6 months)

 

GRAPHIC DESIGN (HIGHLY REGARDED)

• Designing event artwork in Photoshop and InDesign

• Creating social tiles on the fly in Photoshop (e.g. recruitment posts, press inclusions, etc)

• Repurpose or re-edit preexisting InDesign files (e.g. function packs, brand pitch decks)

 

… in addition to assisting the Marketing Manager with general ad hoc duties as required.

Please note, this is a role that can be tailored to fit the person and skillset. The most important thing is that you are organised, reliable, can use the programs listed below, and can shift gears between multiple campaigns and venues with ease.

• Demonstrated experience in the field of marketing and social media

• Knowledge of Squarespace, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Asana, Later & Capcut

• An understanding of the everchanging social media landscape

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Strong organisational skills

• High level of reliability and accountability

• Ability to maintain confidentiality
